제28회 세계한인법률가회(IAKL) 총회 및 학술대회가 코로나19 팬데믹에 9월 30일 온라인으로 개막되어 10월 3일까지 진행되고 있다.  올 총회의 주제는 'Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging'. IAKL 회장인 법무법인 율촌의 이재욱 외국변호사는 "1988년에 설립된 IAKL이 23개 나라에 상주하는 3,500명이 넘는 한인 법률가를 회원으로 하는 큰 조직으로 성장했다"며 "코로나19 팬데믹도 우리의 성장을 막을 수 없다"고 역설했다. IAKL 총회는 매년 한국과 해외(미국)을 번갈아가며 개최되어 왔으며, 올 총회는 당초 건국대 로스쿨에서 진행될 예정이었으나 코로나19 팬데믹에 온라인 행사로 대체되었다.  

IP/IT, Corporate, Human의 3개 소주제를 내건 이번 학술대회의 주요 세션을 소개하면 다음과 같다.
